Worship
We believe Spirit-directed worship honors God.
This calls us to devote our lives in worship to him and to gather together regularly for worship.
"You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power." (Revelation 4:11)
Prayer
We believe prayer builds our relationship with God and opens us to his leading.
This calls us to complete dependence on God through adoration, confession, thanksgiving, and supplication.
"Lord, teach us to pray." (Luke 11:1)
Reconciliation
We believe God in Christ has broken down all barriers between people.
This calls us, in both church and parish, to actively pursue unity while appreciating our diversity.
"God . . . reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation." (2 Corinthians 5:18)
Community
We believe God created us to be in community.
This calls us to a life of caring for each other, speaking the truth in love, forgiveness, mutual accountability, and stewardship of God's resources.
"In Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others." (Romans 12:5)
Evangelism
We believe God desires all people to know him.
This calls us to support the church's mission throughout the world and to each be intentional witnesses and disciple-makers.
"Your Father in heaven is not willing that any . . . should be lost." (Matthew 18:14)
Discipleship
We believe full devotion to Christ is our life long response to God's love.
This calls us to pursue continuous spiritual growth and authenticity.
"This is to my Father's glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples." (John 15:8)
Justice
We believe acting to establish justice is an essential part of discipleship.
This calls us to be instruments of God's justice in our relationships and in society.
"The Lord is known by his justice." (Psalm 9:16)
Giftedness
We believe God gives his children spiritual gifts for the work of his kingdom.
This calls us to give our best to God in all things by discovering, developing, and using our gifts.
"We have different gifts, according to the grace given us." (Romans 12:6)
Leadership
We believe God calls and equips servant leaders to give direction to the church and to empower God's people for ministry.
This calls us to serve one another in love and to honor our leaders.
"The greatest among you should be like the youngest, and the one who rules like the one who serves." (Luke 22:26)
Anointed Teaching
We believe teaching inspired by the Holy Spirit is a catalyst for transformation in individuals' lives and in the church.
This calls us to faithfully teach God’s word and obey his leading.
"All Scripture is God breathed and is useful for teaching . . . so that [we] may be thoroughly equipped for every good work." (2 Timothy 3:16 17)
